Captain Jason Bennett
Captain Jason Bennett is the Recruiting Flight Commander, and the Education Flight Commander at Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps Detachment 195 at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago Illinois. He is responsible for developing the Air Force's best and brightest future officers, capable of handling the nation's most challenging problems and leading fellow Airman to victory.
Captain Bennett attended the United States Air Force Academy, graduating from Cadet Squadron 28 in 2002, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. His career with the Air Force began in August of 2002 at Peterson AFB, CO, being assigned as the Combat Support Flight Commander where he led 88 military and 215 NAF/APF employees and managed a $4.1M ops budget, $2.4M mess attendant contract and a $254k library contract. He later served as the Chief of Morale, Welfare, and Recreation at the Headquarters, Allied Air Component Command, Air Izmir, Turkey. In this NATO role he was solely responsible for transitioning all MWR programs from the Army command to Air Force command. In 2006 he was hand picked by the Commander, Air Force Materiel Command General Bruce Carlson to serve the Chief of Protocol for Headquarters Air Force Materiel Command. Captain Bennett separated from the Air Force in 2007, managed his own company and also consulted as an Acquisition Financial Manager for the DoD where he developed cost estimated for and managed the budgets for multi-billion dollar Weapon systems.
Captain Bennett also served as the President, Rocky Mountain Company Grade Officer's Council, and President of the Air Force, Western Region Company Grade Officer's Council and President of the Peterson Air Force Base Officers' Club Advisory Council.
