New Student Orientation Program

For all NEW cadets in the program, this a voluntary event specifically for all incoming cadets who want to get ahead of their peers. NSOP is a one-day introduction explaining and demonstrating expectations for AFROTC cadets. There will be an opportunity for any parents who attend to have their questions answered by a cadre member.


NSOP will take place on August 14th, 2018.

Grooming Standards

All prospects must arrive within grooming standards males will be clean shaven. Hair must not be touching the ears and not greater than 1 1/4” in bulk. High and tight haircuts are authorized. Females must have their hair in a bun or good/professional taste. Females may wear their hair down if it is short without touching the back of the collar. When in a bun, the bun cannot exceed more than 3” and has to rest above the color of a polo. The bun and rest of hair should look clean in appearance (use bobby pins if needed). Bobby pins must be a color similar to the hair. For Physical Training hair can be in a ponytail. For any questions regarding grooming standards, please refer to AFI 36-2903, which is readily available on the internet.
